Let’s Have a Talk.., Introduction - Who are You?
Host, Vicki L. ThompsonYou're listening to live recording. Let's have a talk. Wake up. Wake up and take a deep breath. It's good to be alive this morning. Thanks again for tuning in. For Who Are You Part 3 Talk? God is saying it's time for us to sit down. Let's have a talk.
Android or Humanoid? Relational Necessity of Humans, Time to Put Down the Devices & Reconnect to One Another
Host, Vicki L. ThompsonAm I the only one who it takes a second or two when getting verified having access to any website nowadays, any app nowadays, ask you to go through a scenario of verifying who you are? And I had to think about the last time I had to check a box to say I am not a robot. The question is for us today is, are you android or humanoid? And we have to chuckle a little bit. But to be honest with you, have you noticed perhaps that's where we are? Or have we become oblivious to our preparations while we're in the end times preparing for something that's ahead? My last time I checked the box, I had to think about. Maybe you can relate to me on this, and I shout out to all those that aired the television show. All of those, my friends, who are into the science fiction. However, I remember a show long time ago that was called The Twilight Zone. Are we in the Twilight Zone? The question is posed, because how are we living this life? And the emphasis of let's have a talk is one that we are compelled, really stirred up to talk about. That is living the life to the fullness of each and every day. Wasn't long ago, a couple of years ago, when the world was shut down, and the world being shut down, we ended up finding out that we preferred our jobs, and we really didn't know the humans that lived with us, that were related, that are related to us, that we are associated with. Yet we had to be in the midst of them. We had in the midst of trying to figure out where to get toilet tissue in the midst of how do I converse with my child here? How can I help my mom who's aged here? How long will I be able to stand my husband? My wife comes down every morning. We have become very close in our route. Android. To our devices. We rarely look up, even to acknowledge. Shout out to a doorman, a friend. The young lady that was standing nearby is waiting to go shopping, waiting for the car. And as I am, as God has given me naturally one to want to say hello and converse. When going out. To be honest with you, I took a second to pose my response, and in that response, I said, I could have Googled it. And I shout out to our friends Google, who we have coined a frame, a phrase or a term where, if you don't know, seek a device, a computer, to give it to us. Now, on the other end, when you have been prior to the repositorying, which was what computers were, gathering our habits, our entries, gathering our desires, and holding them in some kind of cloud. But someone had to input the information on the other end. I could have Googled that, but I wanted to have a conversation. And instead of the conversation beginning, there is a pause, a long pause of the young like you want to talk? No, don't want anything from you, but to get that brain, that mind, that that mind and brain that someone else is collecting data on for you to use it yourself. And that mind takes on and receives the nature of the climate, it sees the color of the sky, it assesses if it's going terrain. Just by experience. A simple, oh, I don't know, could have been very good. Plus, it would open the conversation of easing someone's day. And we were all very pick perky this day, but we lacked the skill of conversing. So are we Android? We're a reliance solely on the input and the output of man-made collection of repository information, meaning data. So everybody is now, it has become a repository. So I was chuckled to the point where uh, and I hope you can relate because our conversation is serious in the time that we're in to think about. Every time it is easy to pick up a phone as opposed to talking to another oxygen god breathing air person next to us. Fear that you're in need of something, you're trying to sell something, you have a trick up your sleeve. Are you android or humanoid? There's particular advice that one of the apostles had given believers in a time of transition, in a time not only of pearl, but a time where uh the transition was undiscernible. Where are we going from here? And in that the uh the apostle actually exhorted and exhort it is a little bit of advice. Little bit of advice is from this apostle who says, Let's redeem the time. When you're in transition, when you are in between or in betwixt,
Adapting in Seasons of Transitions- Taking Advantage of Each Day
Host, Vicki L. Thompsonas some of the old folks would say, when you really don't know, it's time to sit down and assess and take advantage of every second that God has given us. Redeeming the time means that there is a season for everything under the sun, there is a time and a season, Solomon writes. And it aligns with the interpretation of redeeming the time. You know when it's time to plant seeds, you know when it's time to pull out your winter clothing, you know when it's time for school to start. You wake up in the morning and you know it's time to get up. But in that getting up, there is an acknowledgement of the wisdom of Solomon that says for everything under the sun, meaning us and the earth, there are there is a season, a time wow, and a purpose for everything. Our focus is the time to redeem it. Redeeming? Redeeming means hello. We woke up this morning. Take a deep breath. God has given us this second and this moment, not only to breathe, but to utilize this magnificent creation that the biomedics cannot truly yet replicate. But God is yet in control, so we don't know where all of this is going, but it is time to consider to redeem what we have. And in this redeeming, along the way of life, we have become, and this is not one of criticism. I hope you are joining and folding arms with me in this talk, so that we can say, hey, yeah. Let's step out a little bit and live. But that includes look around. Do you all remember you had your your your dress shoes and your tennis shoes and your school shoes? Now it's shoes for every outfit. But that's just the change of time. But it means as the new age technology has now begun
Consider the Wisdom of Solomon For the Unknowns of Tomorrow, Impacting Life
Host, Vicki L. Thompsonto learn how to utilize the data that has been sitting in repositories in a cloud somewhere to become effective in whatever android or combination of android humanoid that may be created. Therefore, a robot. What are we doing all this stuff? And in Ecclesiastes, it is a good reminder of what Solomon has taught wisdom that he's collected along the way about life. That really says it all and gives us something to think about in this hour. To connect, regard and be in the as the Spirit of the Lord leads, and being girded up in courage and in love, to reach out to those that are nearby and those that are far. As God has and will lay on our hearts to pray a little bit more, to connect to God more steadily, to know that he is sure, and to know that Christ is always nearby, to know that the time of his coming is near. But that is just as Solomon writes, to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven. Some old translation says, Under the sun there is a time and a season. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted. That does not mean only in the harvest, because in a harvest time it is not just for us, us to be recipients of it. As God says, the hearts when the harvest comes, do not glean the whole field. Leave it for those widows and others. And then he continues on to say there is a time to kill, a time to heal, a time to break down, and a time to build up. That verse of Ecclesiastics chapter three, verse three means restoration. For as we see an assessor, even look back or Google to see what happens when there's a great fire. The earth, actually the soil of like a forest fire, will through the devastation over time, where the ashes were, flowers will begin to bloom as the soil nourish began to evolve from that those ashes or that which was consumed. A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. That's redeeming the time. What a joyful time we're in, everybody. Nothing to be afraid of or weary of or hesitant of or hopeless of. It is a time of rejoicing. Look at all that stuff we collected. And then look at how much time, even today, to reach out to someone that is in need, lacking, as God says, to give. Also, a time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones. It is God has made, and the wisdom that is gained here of life as God had blessed Solomon is one that is so breathtaken. And it wasn't just Solomon receiving God's decree that he was giving him wisdom. But he also gave Solomon a heart to search behind what the decree and the truths of God's creation is. He searched, he went into avenues and searched the God mechanics and the God hearts and the God delights of what makes this world go round for you and I. No one knows when the hour is, but we know it is time. So don't look around your shoulder and sit, it's time to live, everyone, and reach out to gain the knowledge, because we know when we have accepted Christ, our Lord has done it all, including has including a place for each one of us in a kingdom that has. Has no beginning nor end. In a Lord who laid down his life and cries for us to come even closer into him. For it is the heart of God that Jesus came for us in God's love. And for us to sit back and just wait until he comes, or to gather stuff and just collect us when the world says it's time to pluck and time to plant and time to cast and a time to gather. Man alive. It's time to live, everybody. Live the life that we know today. And if given tomorrow, on tomorrow. Live it purposefully in whatever God has set and ordered for each of us each day. And let's pray God gives us individuals and things that He may want us to give away, even if it's part of ourselves. And if we think we have given it all, which is the most important thing of everything that is of us, of our love, of our caring, of our heart. You have to look at Jesus, who already bore it all. Yet he is still drawing us near. While it's yet time to reach out and let the world know who God's children are. That's who we are, everyone. That's who we are. We're God's children. Placed in a place that was not designed for us. But soon God is gonna call us. And it's time to shout and dance and rejoice. For the Lord our God is even nearer to us, drawing us closer into his heart, into his strength, and increasing our faith, that we may stand as what the times in the end times are laid for us. The times of those who say that they are Christ and who are not, times for us to discern and pray even more and stand as anchors fully rooted. And Lord, it's time, everybody, for us to rejoice, to live. Let people see you smiling. Some people say you can't say hi to everybody. Oh yes, I can. Yes, you can smile at someone knowing you don't. You're not selling nothing and you are not expecting anything back. You can say hello. It's time for the joy that resides in God's children, even though those of us who have fallen along the wayside, even them for their memories to be sparked, that there was joy at the point of my receiving Christ. It is time, everyone, for us to rejoice, for as Solomon who writes, redeeming the time. And it says, A time to reena means tear up and a time to sow. Let's mend is what God is speaking today to mend all of those relationships and connect and bring them in, everybody. Why are you sitting in that big house by yourself? Invite someone over. Let 'em when it's safe and as godly to do so. It's time to open up our ears and heart to hear the voice of God. Heart to be ready to respond yes and prepared to do what he's asked. It's time to it's a time to keep silent and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate, a time of war and a time of peace. What profit has he that worketh in that wherewith he labored? And that means after it all like China sitting in a China cabinet. Oh what was it so such a blessing some time ago to be able to buy or receive at a wedding or just collect savings and purchase China to be able to serve this valuable item to serve a meal and present it to someone? But why is it collecting dust now? We've become repositories of things. And it's time to share them with others. What profit will it be? How is it benefiting to say that I have this and I have that? Let somebody see you wear it, let somebody see you use it. And in that God gets the glory. Especially, not talking about going on buying and buying and buying, saying God did it absolutely not. But we know when God has helped us to save, open doors for us to get, for God to have the glory, when one, someone receives the spirit of joy in you from it. And that's why there was labor here, and why we wandered as we sojourned
Encouraging to Help and Pray for Each Other, As God Knows What Our Needs Are !
Host, Vicki L. Thompsonuntil God will call us back is to be able to connect with one another. Of course, as God directs our paths, it is time to live, everybody. Time to reach out and help and give it all if God asks, without a murmur or a whimper, because God will give it back. Absolutely everything. And we don't even have to worry. That's who our father is. It is time, everybody, to sit down. Let's learn, let's become skillful again. The socialites, you know, uh man, the socialites in the twenties and the thirties, to be skilled was a was a desire for someone's wife to be skilled in conversing or conversation, to be skilled in knowing a little bit of this and that and on topics is one that is still valuable, but I think we forgot. Because of we're skilled, especially and most importantly, when it's placed in us from God, will brighten somebody's day, will lift them up, to bring them back if they have swayed. This is what living this life and redeeming the time is all about. In the next time sharing whatever God says, it's time to talk about. Join us and tune in, and let's sit down and have a talk. God bless to the next time.
